Gates
The main entrance to Manor Fields is open to vehicles and pedestrians 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The gates further north on Putney Hill (the Hill gate) and to the south of the estate (the Heath gate) are open from 7 am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday. The Hill gate sometimes stays open longer to allow refuse collectors in and out. You can open both gates and a smaller one near Armstrong House, which is for pedestrians only, with the key to the front door of your house, but you must make sure you shut the gate securely behind you.

Entry buttons
All the houses at Manor Fields have buttons on a brass plate by their front doors to operate an intercom system to allow visitors to call residents when they arrive. The buttons labelled TRADES at the bottom of the plates, which used to let tradesmen into the buildings, have been disconnected for security reasons.
